Frequently Asked Questions

Q - What are the age restrictions for children?
A - Babies and Toddlers are not admitted to the theatre. General guidelines state that age 5 years and over is recommended but more specific age limits may apply with differing productions. Children must be able to sit, unaided, in their own seat and be attentive to the performance so as not to distract other paying members of the audience. Admittance to the auditorium shall always be at the discretion of the management.

Q - How do I receive my tickets?
A - Tickets will be posted to the UK billing address of the credit card if time permits or tickets will be left at the Box Office for you to collect on the day of the performance (usually only available for half an hour before the performance starts)

Q - Is there a dress code for West End Theatres?
A - There is no strict dress code for any of the theatres in London. Smart/Casual is fine, unless otherwise advised.

Q - What time should I arrive at the theatre?
A - It is a good idea to arrive at the theatre at least half an hour before curtain. There is a bar in most theatres, so you can wait in comfort.

Q - What is a 'matinee' performance?
A - A matinee is the early afternoon performance, though a few theatres have a late matinee at around 5pm. Most theatres have a mid-week matinee and a Saturday matinee.

Q - What if I am unable to use my tickets?
A - Tickets are sold on a no refund no exchange basis but please contact Encore Tickets through the contact form if you are unable to use your tickets as sometimes Encore may be able to put the tickets on re-sale. Please note if Encore are able to try and re-sell the tickets, the original tickets will need to be returned to Encore's Offices and Encore will only be able to give you a refund less booking fee if a resale occurs.
